Learn more about what we can do with our pedagogy, practices, and products to encourage and support Academic Integrity in the age of AI.

Dr. Laurie Schleicher, Manager, Faculty Advisory Services, ɫèAV, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

With the exponential growth of generative AI, what can educators do to promote academic integrity? In this session, we will discuss the reasons students “cheat” and then identify how we can adapt our pedagogy and utilize our ɫèAV platforms and products to mitigate academic dishonesty. We will take a positive, realistic approach to AI, understanding that students will use it, but that it is now part of our jobs as educators to teach them when and how to use it effectively – and, most importantly, ethically. This session is hosted by Dr. Laurie Schleicher, Manager of Faculty Advisory Services at ɫèAV with over 25 years of experience in teaching at the middle school, high school, and university levels.
