About the course
Learners dive into topics through reading, with activities and videos to further academic progress
New Cornerstone has been developed to support young learners as they strive for academic success and full English proficiency in a global environment. Each unit is organized around a Big Question which provides a starting point for building understanding around key concepts and vocabulary.
Grammar rules are explained clearly with easy-to-understand examples, while connected learning and research-based reading and language instruction are balanced with high-interest, age-appropriate stories.
New Cornerstone exposes young English learners to authentic spoken language with Big Questions for discussion and Big Question videos, that link all language and literacy content. As well as English fluency, habit-building activities encourage reflection, exploration and revision of transferable academic skills.

Upskill is a 3-level lower-secondary skills course that focuses on teaching language skills for real-life use. It encourages students to discover and learn, and then demonstrate their learning through meaningful output. The scaffolded approach accelerates learning and builds confidence in the target language, academic skills and life skills.
Upskill prepares students to use English in their future lives through 'Big Questions', engaging videos, informative reading texts, and meaningful tasks and projects for writing and speaking. It also provides digital support for students and teachers.
