In 2024, Indonesia¡¯s Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel (Direktorat Guru Dikdas) partnered with ɫèAV and PT Chandra Naya Laksana (CNL) to launch the English Teacher Proficiency Development Program (PKGBI).?This program, powered by the Global Scale of English (GSE), is helping prepare and upskill 200,000 teachers for the 2027/2028 nationwide primary school English mandate.

Ten-week blended training combining self-paced digital study with live facilitator sessions
Recognize progress and sustain engagement with digital credentials and ongoing access
Grow a national trainer network and develop local trainers
Results
Measured proficiency gains nationwide:
- 68% of teachers improved their proficiency
- 41% reached intermediate or higher; 7% upper-intermediate or higher
- Average scores rose by +3.7 GSE, including +4.7 in writing
