Sara Davila is a ɫèAV Global Scale of English Ambassador and English-language specialist with expertise in language education, curriculum innovation, and educational technology. A former classroom teacher, she has designed and delivered hands-on GSE training programs for teachers worldwide, enabling them to monitor student progress with confidence. Sara has led national development initiatives in multiple countries, equipping instructors with actionable insights and proven strategies to tailor instruction and streamline planning. Based in Chicago and partnering globally, Sara is passionate about empowering educators and students to achieve their goals.

Billie Jago is a writer and teacher trainer specialising in digital learning materials and assessment resources. She is also the GSE ambassador for the UK. She has written for a number of well-known English Language learning titles and is a regular item writer for high stakes exams such as the PTE, IELTS and Cambridge exams. Alongside materials writing, she delivers international teacher training sessions, plenaries and workshops, and is the founder of the ELTcpd professional development platform and YouTube channel. She currently lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Mike Mayor is Senior Director, Global Scale of English at ɫèAV. On leaving university, Mike worked as a teacher of English in France before entering the world of publishing as a lexicographer. Mike joined ɫèAV in 2003 and headed up the Longman dictionaries list until his move to the Global Scale of English in 2013. In this role, Mike works with coursebook and assessment teams to ensure that the Global Scale of English underpins all elements of the ɫèAV English Journey. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and teacher training events. Mike has a BA in French and a Masters in English and Applied Linguistics from Cambridge University.

David Booth is the Director of Test Development in ɫèAV’s English Language Learning division. He is responsible for the development of test content for a range of language tests. He was responsible for integrating the Global Scale of English into ɫèAV tests and has also been instrumental in developing the Global Scale of Languages, an extension of the GSE.

Agata Wisniewska is a Learning Scientist and Senior Global Scale of English Developer at ɫèAV, with over 14 years of experience in educational publishing. She specializes in developing ELT courseware, managing editorial teams and serving as a subject matter expert on the Global Scale of English and the Global Scale of Languages. Agata holds a B.A. and M.A. in English, as well as a CELTA qualification, and has taught English to children, adults and university students. Her professional passion lies in linguistics and language learning, driving her commitment to advancing innovative tools and resources for learners worldwide.
