Apprenticeship levy

The Apprenticeship Levy came into effect in 2017 to encourage employers to take control of their apprenticeship training programmes and help reduce the skills gap across England鈥檚 workforce.听

Many employers pay into a fund to be used for apprenticeships training and assessment. This levy applies to all businesses with wage bills of more than 拢3m.

What is the Apprenticeship Service

The Apprenticeship Service is the tool developed by the Education and Skills Funding Agency in partnership with HMRC to manage the movement of Apprenticeship funding between employers, the government and training providers (in the form of digital vouchers).
